Tim Bowman reply to an add I posted on Craigslist. I posted an add for employment of a men of all Trade (Framing/Plumbing/Electricity). Tim called me and told me he can do it all. We met and he was very persuasive that he was very experience in all trade. I ask for 3 references which he provided immediately. I called the 3 references and I was told that he is very good. So I hired Tim to built a terrace for one of my client. We worked together on the project and right away I notice he had trouble doing it. I had to tell him what to do and he would still do it wrong. So I had to remove what he did several time and re-built it. The job was suppose to take 2 days but took 5 days instead. I kept him the whole time because I needed his hand to finish the job for my client as we need to be 2 guys to work efficiently when building. I had agree to share the profit 50/50 with him on this job. Because of his inexperience, he scraped a lot of material which decreased our estimated profit quite a bit. At the end I gave him my feedback concerning his inexperience and told him that the profit has been decreased and he would make 540$ instead of the expected 745$ from the quotation I submitted to the client with his acknowledgement. Tim force me to give him still 690$ by blackmail me to go see the client and ask to be paid more from them directly. The next day he told me again that he will go see my client if I don't give him an extra 100$ which is now more then what we agree on in the first place. Tim knows that I don't want any trouble with this client since they have given me a lots of business and will continue to do so in the future. He is been bullying me and very disrespectful towards me. Not only he slow down the project, cost me more in material but wants a bigger portion of the profit on a job from my client. I feel I had to report him so nobody else would have a bad experience with this guy if they do their due diligence with BBB. He is very intimidating when he gets upset. Stay away from this dangerous con-artist.
