The Booniai website publishes my phone number for customer support. I get hundreds of calls, one sadder than the next. I tell them all they have been scammed and to work to get their money back through whatever channel they used for the purchase. I have filed a report with the NY State Attorney General Intake #1-183083132 . Don't use Booniai and if you did stop payment asap.

I “purchased” two bedside tables from a furniture website called “Booniai” because they were listed at a lower price than I had seen at another home goods store. They offered free shipping and the payment was through PayPal, although there was an option for entering a debit or credit card. The PayPal payment went to someone named “Vo Van An.” I received an email with an order receipt and an order number, but never received a later shipping confirmation or tracking number. After a week, I attempted to contact them through their “contact us” portal on their website after an email to their support email bounced back. Still no answer. I looked them up and found another report of being scammed by this site. Apparently the address listed on their website is a random house in the Bronx.

I tried to order a desk from an online furniture store called Booniai. The website is booniai.com and they offered free shipping, item shipped 3 - 5 days. I paid for the desk using PayPal and the PayPal receipt showed my payment went to Vo Van An and an individual's email address. I received a receipt from Booniai and the email on it was a support address for the company. This was my first red flag since the money went to an individual vs a company. After a few days I emailed them to see what the status of my order was and I did not receive any response. I went to the website and tried to call the phone number, but it was an irate man who wants the company to fix their website because he doesn't work for them. After Several attempts to contact them and 3 weeks, I had not received my order or had any contact. I couldn't even cancel my order, yet they had my money. Thankfully PayPal refunded my money. Buyer Beware!

I ordered a fretwork cabinet (dark teal) on 7/20/2020. I emailed and asked when the item would ship. I got a response almost immediately stating that I would get a tracking number when it shipped. Yesterday (7/27/20), I received a fedex alert that my item would be delivered today. lol and behold, my item arrived today... HOWEVER, the item is the wrong color and the label on the outside of the box has my shipping address but someone else’s name and address under the billing address. I’m in Ohio and the billing address is a lady in NC. Also- the box was shipped from Kirklands, which also sells this exact cabinet. I have now emailed and will let you know the response. There is something definitely fishy about all of this...

Bill Bailey ordered Sauder Harbor View Computer Desk with Hutch $219.99 payment method PayPal on Wed, June 24, 2020 at 9:44 am. Booniai gave Order #2698. July 7, 2020 at 10:22 am I sent "it has been 2 weeks since I placed my order, can you please update as to the status of my order." I called the phone number 646-758-9024 supposedly at Booniai and an angry gentleman advised this was his phone number and stop calling him. I opened a dispute with Paypal to refund the $219.99 since this was a scam but I have not settled yet.

So the same thing has happened to me unfortunately. However once I filled a dispute they Booniai sent me a FedEx confirmation number For the item and then asked me to close the dispute. I told them I would close dispute once I received the item. No telling what I’m going to receive ? did they ever reach out to you with the tracking information? Interior know if they really sent the item or not.

This place is definitely a scam. I ordered a desk for $165.99, 3 weeks had passed with no confirmation from the seller. I decided to file a dispute through paypal. They gave the seller 10 days to respond. The seller never responded and the case was closed in my favor and got a full refund.

Bought an armchair on July 2, 2020 and have not been able to contact them since. Never received a confirmation email as stated and my receipt was not for Booniai but Vo Van Am (email: [email protected]) who will not respond to my emails regarding this purchase even though their email address is the vendor on my PayPal receipt. Please advise what next steps should be.

File a dispute with paypal. They will give the seller 10 days to respond. If they don't respond you will get a refund.

Ordered chair from Booniai on 7/2/2020. PayPal account was immediately charged funds and money on receipt went to Vo Van An (email: [email protected]). Have not been able to contact either Booniai or Vo Van An even after calling and emailing numerous times.

Definitely a scam. Tried to buy a couple armchairs online and got suspicious when my gmail flagged the invoice email as questionable. To echo the other reports, the number is a personal one and I have received no news about my order other than the payment invoice. Lost money: $159.98

It’s a scam! The phone number is a personal number and the address is one bedroom shack in the Bronx. The payment went directly to Vo Van An. Previous website names for this scamming company are sobrela.com and ibemli.com

Purchased furniture item via their online website. Not able to contact / get responses from the company via the email address or phone # (which is a personal # for someone vs a company number). Paid the seller via PayPal and it was received immediately from someone by the name of Vo Van An. No indication of movement with order status other than my PayPal payment going through.

Same thing happened to me. I opened a dispute with Paypal and the seller never responded to the claim and I was able to get a refund. I would suggest filing a claim if you haven't already.
