I am presently trying to loose weight. On TikTok, Twitter (X), and Instagram I kept seeing adds for a company named Boomlon that was offering extremely good deals on Weights, workout equipment, etc. So I decided to follow it and in early August, specifically August 10th of 2023, I purchased a set from the website for a total of $43.80.

This was for order 2494

I was given a tracking number of BLO004951494, and I thought that this was really weird. Especially since the only way I could track this was through a side named track888.com at the time I did not know this, but apparently track888.com lets you make fake tracking numbers and update them yourself.

Well after I received the tracking I waited, until I got curious and it said that it was handed off to a local carrier because despite the company being based in the UK they were shipping from China. Which again, I thought was weird.

A few days later, now on September 14th, it updated to say that the weights had actually been delivered a week prior. Now, I work from home and have a Ring alert system for motion, cameras, etc. So they could not have delivered them without me noticing. Well I checked with my neighbors and all around the property and nothing. I also called USPS, Fedex, and UPS and neither of them had any packages coming to my house within the past 30 days.

So I went to the websites support page, which says that there is a contact phone number, but there actually isn't, actually the exact thing the website says is this:

So I emailed them, with exactly this:

Now the exact reply I got from them was,

As I had explained in the first email that I had already done this, I point that out to them. I also wanted to know what shipping company they passed it over to as the update said handed to local carrier. I was then told,

I thought it was weird that they didnt tell me what shipping company they used but ignored that, and like anyone would, I wondered how long this would take and I asked them that and received the following,

Now, this was absolutely crazy to me, as I have never heard of it taking that long. But I am also use to USPS, UPS, and Fedex. So I waited, and after 15 business days I still did not hear back, so I followed up with them saying,

As per the below email chain the investigation would take 5-15 working days. It has since now been 15 business days.

I still have no received the item, and I have followed up with my neighbors as well.

What is the status of this?

The exact response I got from them was,

I had no idea why they needed my order number again. All of this is being done in an email chain, and on top of that they also had to have the order number when they were looking it up. But i provided it again.

I then did not hear back so i reached out again,

I am looking for an update on the below issue with order 2494 which you had stated was confirmed as lost. I provided my order number and have not heard back.

Can you please provide an update as to the status of when a new item will be sent?"

As you can see, this was done 8 days later. The response I got from the company?

Now not only was I annoyed they had already confirmed it lost. But I had also already called USPS and was told no packages were even given to them.

So i replied with this information as well as copying the entire email chain up to this point and repasting it, saying that I dont know why they were not checking the history of the emails but that it was that they confirmed it lost. I was told,

So I agreed and waited. Just as what happened. I still did not receive any emails or anything updating me. So i sent the following,

It has been 2 weeks and I still have not heard anything back.

Can you please let provide me an update on the below issue. This is getting ridiculous as this email chain started 2 months ago and instead of you guys letting me know. I have to reach out to find out nothing has happened.

And in case you need it since I've experienced many times with you guys not either reading or seeing the full email chain I have attached it.

Please provide me an update and as to when the item will actually be received?"

The reply I got was this,

I checked, and that new tracking number was again for that weird site tracking888.com

I called USPS, Fedex, and UPS and none of them said that they were expecting any packages and also did not know who tracking888.com even was.

So I emailed boomlon with the following,

I did not receive any response.

On 11/12/2023 the site tracking888.com updated for tracking CF1058453104 saying that it was transferred to local courier company. I once more called UPS, USPS, and Fedex. None of them had anything coming to me.

I waited, and on 11/24/2023 the weights were marked as delivered. I once more had the same thing happen. No delivery. I called USPS, UPS, and Fedex and still they had nothing.

It was at this point that when I called UPS and spoke to a manager they had actually advised me that tracking888.com is used by a lot of scam companies to make fake tracking to keep the customer waiting past the amount of time a person has to dispute a charge with their company.

I did some research online and found that tracking888.com is actually indeed able to be used to make fake tracking numbers.

I was at this point extremely upset.

I emailed boomlon again and told them I wanted a refund. I received no response.

It was at this point that I realized that the company had scammed me. I looked it up online and found that you only have 90 days to dispute a charge on a credit card without proving it as fraud. It was around this time that I saw a few posts on twitter appearing saying that the same thing had happened to them.

I realized that the company was trying to wait out the clock and was attempting to scam people using fake accounts. I attempted to look the company up and found that they had taken down all their social media pages. No longer were they on TikTok, The Twitter page is still @BoomLon but now has no content at all. The only thing that is still up is their website.

I took the entire email chain and called my bank, and I was able to prove that this was indeed fraud and was able to receive a refund but was advised that I should report the company and hopefully get their site taken down or at least prevent people in the US from ordering from them.

I will attach the entire email chain below. I am sorry if it repeats, but as mentioned above, I did have to copy and paste the email chain in twice.

This is is extremely unprofessional. Your own customer service team admitted that your carrier you used to ship me my item lost it.

That is an exact quote from your customer service team. And as I said in the email that you just replied to. I am looking for an update on that. My exact worlds were "I am looking for an update on the below issue for order 2494 which you had stated was confirmed as lost."

I have made sure to reply to all so that you have access to the entire email chain.

As you have confirmed now in 2 different emails which you can see through the email chain below that your carrier has lost the item. And that you are supposed to issue me a new one per your own email that I received on October 10th.

Now you are telling me the contact the post office AGAIN?

I will ask for you to one more time as I have now MULTIPLE times to please read the entire email chain below as you have confirmed my order was lost and have confirmed you would issue a new item.

Now can I please get an update as to the status of when you will be issuing a new item to replace this one that YOUR carrier confirmed as lost?

And since it is causing so much trouble, I will also do assist you by copying the entire email chain here for you.

And so I ask again in response to you saying "if you haven't received it yet, it is recommended that you contact the post office"

Your carrier who you used lost it. You confirmed this. So what is the status on you sending me out another item?

As I have said, I never received the item. It was not delivered in my mail box. I was home the entire day that it shows it was meant to be delivered. It was not placed anywhere on my property.

Additionally as I said in my original email I checked with my neighbors to see if for some reason was delivered to them. It was not.

I attempted to contact my local delivery service which is USPS and they stated they would need a tracking number. And I do not have one, as I was never given an official USPS tracking number.

As I have now said 3 times, the package did not arrive. I have checked everywhere, I checked with my neighbors. It was not delivered.

Please assist with this. And again my order number is BLO004951494

Once more I have already checked with my neighbors, searched my property including bushes. I have a security system and checked the cameras and no one attempted to deliver anything. And because all i have is my order number I cannot report the package as missing.

Emailed numerous times when order was placed and was gaslighted into keeping the charge. Once it read as delievered (when nothing was I was ghosted)
