"Good Day, this is Brittanie Dorrough from Bonusly Company, Your resume was forwarded to us on Ziprecruiter regarding the Data Entry Clerk/Customer Service Representative fully remote work from home job position. The starting pay rate is $37.07 per Hr. I want you to download and setup SIGNAL https://signal.org/download/ then add this number to your contact (+17192079613) and send a message to this number (+17192079613) for the job details/interview."
The interview was through text only. The interviewer gave detailed information on the position and what was expected of me.
Had me answer sever questions and after the interview questions I was told I was hired. Sent a congratulations video featuring an older white woman stating her name, who looked nice.
Then I was sent this:
"The funds for the software's cost ($3,253.00 Dollars) The company will provide you the Funds or the software's by a Scanning Company check Sent to your email, you will print it out the check with your printer , cut the edges of the check both the front and back Cut it into shape then you will endorse the back of the check and sign, snap the front and back of the check with your Mobile banking app for mobile Check deposit directly into your account with your online banking App , The Funds will be process and available in your account and ready for use, you are to deduct $100.00 as your sign on bonus and the rest of the funds will be for use to purchase of your working software's. I will be here to refer you to the vendor whom you will be making the purchase from. Do you understand this part?"
I never heard of a business sending someone a 3000+ check to deposit to pay for software. When I explained that I do not feel comfortable and I would need further proof of them being a legit company I received a phone call from a male calling himself Louis M. Indian accent, telling me that this is how they do business and wanting my information to put me into their system.
