This company called my ex husband and my ex sister in law (who I have had no contact with in 7 years) and my job saying I have a lawsuit against me and gave them the account number and told them to tell me to call them. I did and they told me that I had a lawsuit against me and if I didn’t pay them that they were going to sue. They berated me for not making payments and demanded them that I pay. I was scared and didn’t know what to do. I gave them my debit card and they said I needed to make payments twice a month for 19 months. They would give me no information as far as address or anything only thing I got was the phone number they called me from. I complied for 6 months then attempted to call because I had questions about my debt as my balance and what they told me I owed didn’t match up. I have never once received a statement from them. I called my bank and they had me cancel my card so that way Universal couldn’t take more money from me but my bank refused to reimburse me because I had been paying them. I have lost over 1000 due to this.
