Robotic call with spoofed caller ID containing valid BC/BS 1-877 number. Robot asks to confirm identity last name, first name. When confirmed, robot asked for date of birth. Hung up at that point.

Almost certainly a phishing attempt, unsure of purpose. 1-877 number is not a normal BC/BS contact number, but does belong to BC/BS.

If not a phishing attempt, and in fact a legitimate call from BC/BS, BC/BS should not be soliciting private information from a caller robotically or otherwise.
