Bitdefender imposter Reports & Reviews (1)

I received an email (image below) from a person named Dav Amelia which indicated that I purchased an annual subscription to Bitdefender, a malware prevention software. The invoice show that I was billed $445.00 for this service. I never made such a purchase. My credit cards do not reflect any such transaction. I did call the customer support number and spoke with Dav Amelia, who had a thick Indian accent, and said that this purchase was legitimate. I explained that I had never made such a transaction. I asked what the software was used for. He explained that it is malware prevention software that works on up to 10 Windows or Android computers and phones. I explained that I do not and have not owned or used a Windows device for over 10 years. He asked me what I do use and I said an iPad. I said “I am not at all comfortable with this conversation and am suspecting a fraudulent transaction”. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said he would have to charge me $3.00 to do that. This absurd response convinced me that this was some sort of scam. I checked all my accounts and there was no actual transaction from Bitdedender. So I hung up in disgust. Do not even bother to call that number.
