The scammer sent a text message, stating that I submitted an application using LinkedIn for a remote position (I didn't). The scammer stated their name was Crystal Holliday. It mainly seemed normal, stating it was a part time position, but then they mentioned that I would be paid per task completed and I would receive 3 tasks per week. When I asked if the position is a W-2 or a 1099 they stated it was a W-2 position. Bird Dog Traffic Control is located in GA,TN, TX, VA, and the Carolinas. They are not registered to business in my home state which would be required to pay taxes to have an employee in this state, even for remote work.
