Big Dream Realty Reports & Reviews (2)

I was contacted via phone and told they already had a buyer for my timeshare in Mexico. I paid 75K less than what they were selling this property, which was my first red flag. They were able to send me a contract, a letter of guarantee for 25K, should something go wrong, and Escrow agreement and Certificate of Assumption from a title company. All looking very professional. They gave me references of "regular" people, allowed me to call the legal group in Mexico and called the bank in Mexico to "verify" the money was in Escrow just waiting to be transferred. However, in order to make the sell legal, I was informed that since the timeshare is in Mexico and the buyer is also Mexican I had to register with the SAT (Mexican equivalent of the IRS) and get an RFC number. I was informed I had to either go in person to Mexico City or hire a lawyer to do it for me. Of course for a fee, didn’t find out what that fee was, they would obtain the rfc number for me, and only after I got the rfc number would the sale be able to be finalized and funds released. Initially, the fee was about $6000. When I balked, they were able to get me a discount and it would only be $4990. Since I still have not paid that fee, the next email stated that

"I wouldn’t like to send this to the legal department because they will send you to cancelation, and you would have to take care of my commission which I don’t want to get paid for something I haven’t even closed. "

So now they are resorting to threats, since I did sign the original contract. I am not worried about that as I still have given them no money and do not intend to.

I did want to believe that they sold my timeshare for 89K but I am sure since it is too good to be true, that it is. I also cannot find the Big Dream Realty on any social media, on google or white pages. I cannot verify the broker, ******* ****, is indeed a real estate broker and she also has no presence on LinkedIn or social media. Lastly, when I told them I could fly to Mexico City, stay for one night and get the RFC number myself for less than $800, I was told that it would probably be the "wrong" kind of number and then they would have to start all over. I am tired of trying to research and find nothing. I will tell them tomorrow to please NOT call me again. I am not giving them any money.

+1

A person called my wife and asked if we still owned a timeshare property in Mexico. She said yes. They said they were going to send us an offer by my email address. They did but I have chased down many similar offers to find out they were just scams. Watch out for calls from this business they say is located at 749 6th Avenue, New York, NY 10011. It appears there may be another business by that same name located in the Bronx.
