The website www.matambichonhome.com lists fake puppies for sale. I corresponded through email and text initially. Then I asked to see the puppy on a video call. I had a video call with the seller (they identified themselves as Patrick and Maria Rivera). Through our video call I was able to see some puppies playing, however we were never able to communicate. The caller kept saying he could not hear me and he hung up on me, he had a Jamaican accent. I believe it was a pre-recorded video of puppies playing with the sound of his voice over the video. We agreed to a price of $500 for the puppy plus $250 to ship the puppy to me in Texas. The next day Patrick messaged me that I needed to pay an additional $1500 for a special shipping crate to ship the puppy. I received an email from a fake shipping company stating I would need to use their special shipping crate. I tried called the "pet shipping company" to question this, and I kept getting a message that the caller was unavailable. I finally got through and it sounded like the same voice of Patrick Rivera (a Jamaican sounding man). At that point I realized I had been scammed. I tried contacting Patrick Rivera directly and his phone message said it was "no longer in service". I then reported it to my bank account and to the police.
