Just had the same experience, only this was Carolyn's Golden Retrievers on Falkirk LN in Houston, Tx. She was referred to us by someone else who didn't have puppies available. She sent us referrals, a contract to sign via email, and we made a 400 down payment. She wanted to rest of the payment before we got to her, but we wouldn't do that. We drove from Michigan (for multiple reasons, one being the puppy). Anyway, the lovely lady who does live at that address has nothing to do with any of this.

Had same experience as the poster below. Says they are an older woman who has hearing aids and lives in Houston, TX. Referred by another breeder to "her." So glad we came across the mid review because we were in the process of communication with her about her Golden Retrievers. Horrible that people do this kind of thing.

I googled "Golden Retriever puppy in NC" and came to "Hoobly.com" where there were several litters available for purchase. I contacted one of them (shemakajerry9090) who said they had already sold of of theirs so she sent me to "[email protected]". She had four puppies available, 2 female and 2 male, and said that she is a 61 year old who loves puppies and has hearing problems so she can't talk on the phone but wanted to know more about me because she wanted to make sure her beloved puppies would go to the right home for her precious pups. She doesn't breed them for money, but for the love of the puppies since she is retired and takes care of them all day every day. We chose a puppy and she asked for the money on CashApp and the money didn't go through. She started to get impatient with me and asked that we send the money through MoneyGram at the local CVS or Walmart. That's when I got suspicious. Thankfully we didn't send them any money...but they were persistent!!!! I can't believe how much they pulled at our family's heart strings...such an awful thing to do to people! I hope this helps someone else not fall for this evil scam!!
