I responded to an add to adopt a parrot and a young lady messaged me back that the parrot was still available. I asked if we could come to see the bird and was told that we had to pay a deposit in order to come see the bird. I asked where they were located and if they had any references and if they were registered with the department of agriculture. I was never given an answer. Later I received another message that I would have to send the deposit if I wanted to move forward.

I attempted to purchase an African Grey Parrot and I was told that I needed to pay a deposit for the transaction to take place in person.

I paid only $50 up front because I wasn’t sure if it was a scam or not.

The man I spoke with hand bird sounds in the background so it sounded as though it was a real business.

And once I paid him $50 thru Cash App he immediately blocked my phone number and wouldn’t take my calls.
