Scammer was willing to include documentation and specific photos of the animal at beginning, once the supposed item was shipped, the shipping company repeatedly asked for more money and for it to be paid to the scammer so they can forward it to them. Transactions were done through interac eTransfer. Scammer was communicating via text and call mostly, but original contact was through e-mail. The shipping company Croix Logistics would also be part of the scam. Their inormation is all in my attached document including phone number, address, and website. As soon as I didn't wish to proceed and ask for a refund, the scammer and company became very difficult to deal with, to the point where they told me I was unreasonable and I was horrible for leaving an animal there. I provided publicly available government information indicating that what they were asking for was non-existent based on import laws in my country. I have yet to hear back from the scammer/company regarding the matter and advised if they do not respond I will sue them in court. The dollar amount lost is in CDN dollars. I have additional documentation as I captured all text message correspondence with the scammer as well.
