Received a facebook message from a Jenifer Brian that "she" was interested in buying bed that I posted on FB marketplace. I received an email that she had made a payment to me thru Zelle for $350 for bed. Then i received another email (this time in my spam) that there was a problem with payment and my account is currently on limit and that i need to upgrade my Zelle account to a business user and Jenifer Brian will send me an additional amount of $500 to upgrade the account and that I would have to send a total of $500 to Darlene S Real Estate Services for the total funds. Then, $850 would be to credited to my account - refunding me the $500 that Jenifer Brian sent to "Zelle" to upgrade my account to business and paying me for the bed. So I sent the $500 thru Zelle to Darlene S real estate services but never received the $350 for payment of the bed and was out the $500 to supposedly the upgraded "business" Zelle account. Then the scammer kept texting me over, and over if i made the original $500 payment and to screen shot the proof of payment. Then I got another email that there was a $1000 certificate fee to to the agent and that once i pay that additional amount that a total of $1850 would be credited to my account. This is where I KNEW IT WAS A SCAM!! They also provided another name for agent under [email protected] - which was "suppose to be" the Zelle agent that required the $1000 certificate fee. At that time I told "Jenifer" that I didn't want to sell the bed on FB marketplace and I requested a refund of my payment, at which time I then received a FB call on my phone....it took at least 5 times of me hanging up on the caller until I finally answered the call which was a gentleman's voice sounding of India decent. I asked who he was and he said I just have to follow ALL instructions and that all my money will be credited to my Zelle account. I told him that I was calling my bank and Zelle and reporting all this info that was provided about the scam with Zelle and FB messenger. He continued to call me and kept messaging me that I needed to follow all instructions in order to receive my full refund of $1850. I told him (Jenifer Brian) that i was not sending anymore $ and that I was not selling the bed and to stop emailing and messaging me.
