I was contacted through a (hacked) friends account who had been blackmailed into posting a video on Instagram with their driver's license and their Cashapp showing that they had made a ridiculous amount of money back on a small investment. Through something called Bitcoin mining. I thought it was scammy and ignored at first. Talked to a friend I trusted about the message and unfortunately he unwittingly said he was amazed t and happy she had made the money (hadn't confirmed). Was just going off the video I saw. Then I proceeded to get scammed and give them money I hoped would profit ten fold only to have it stolen from me. They are likely doing this to thousands of people on Instagram as the account is still active and Instagram doesn't seem to care about taking down fake accounts.
