they sent me a check for $ 2490,29 said to deposit in my bank account the with use my debit card or withdraw all but 400 dollars and but 2 $500 gift cards at 2 different wallmarts scratch the code on the cards take a picture of card and receipt fax to (510 295 0359 i called educational emplyees credit union about the check they said that check # 3078676 purchased by troy weaver has already been cashed do not deposit it this is scam,

I came across a ad on Facebook that said hiring for Walmart mystery shoppers, and the ad gave very detailed information for the job description and what to expect if you wanted to apply. The ad talked about Walmart’s becoming so busy and customers complaining about customer service and Walmart staff, the cleanliness of Walmart, how employees act when out in stressful situations and report back on everything you see why mystery shopping at Walmart. And so on. I thought the ad seemed legit so I applied. I received a text message several days later saying congratulations your application was approved and you will be conducting a mystery shopping survey at Walmart. Package containing payment and instructions guide will be delivered to your address via USPS soon. So I responded back to that text message and asked if this mystery shopping survey thing was legit because I didn’t want to be apart of any scams, and the person responded back that it was legitimate. However, when I received the packet in the mail with the instructions letter and check I knew it was a scam the moment I opened the envelope and seen the check for $2,470.29. No one in their right mind is just gonna send someone they don’t even know a check for $2,470 and expect them to only keep $400 and buy $500 dollar apple gift cards with the $2,000. Then I took the check to my bank and had my bank take a look at the check and one of the bank managers was like yea that’s a fake cashiers check and we’ve seen a couple of these in the last couple months. They told me NOT to try to deposit it into my account because if I did then I would be responsible for those funds. But that’s what the instructions letter said to do, deposit immediately into your bank account and then go buy 4 Apple gift cards worth $500 each. Once I purchased the Apple Gift Card’s I was to take pictures of all 4 cards and send photos, then I was to unseal each card to reveal the codes, send pictures of the codes, and pictures of the purchase receipt verifying purchase. Then I was to purchase a cashiers check in the amount of $20.29 at my bank and put the cashiers check in the name CARE USA FOUNDATION. And if I get everything done from start to finish in 24 hours I will receive an additional $100 on top of the $400 for completing the survey and task on time.
