Two calls from someone claiming to be with Beryl & Associates for an old Capital One credit card that was part of an identity theft issue back in early 2000's is trying to get me to pay it. Though they are claiming that it is from 2014. The account has changed hands so many times, they don't even know when it was initiated. The debt is not owed because it was a fraud issue, in addition, it has long since passed any statues of limitation time frames. They said that they will get a court order against me. I argued with one person that it is not my debt, and he kept asking if I refused to pay. I kept telling him it was not my debt until he hung up. He also tried to get me to provide him with my Social Security number. They called me and my spouse.
