They emailed first stating I was approved for a loan then we talked on the phone, then requested I send money via wire transfer because the lender is from canada

I filled in a search for a loan. This Jason called me with an Unknown phone number. He left a voicemail stating I was approved for a $5000 dollar loan and to call back for details and left an extension. I called and was told I had three options, one was a cosigner, one was to pay 4 months in advance which was $450 for collateral and the other was something that was jumbled so much I couldnt understand, I told him I couldnt do any of those. He said well which one sounded best, then before I could say anything, he said, probably option 2 right? I said well yeah probably, He then said ok well you have two weeks for the offer to be good, I will send you the loan documents and you can call me back and let me know. The funds will be there within 3 hours of the $450 dollars. I said ok. Well long story short I decided to check into it. Nothing really comes up on the website, but I noticed a misspelled Bernman, instead of Berman, that got me to really searching. I called him the next day, told him I was pretty sure it was a scam, he said no he promised it wasnt. Well I was told to wire money through money gram and it was a single lender named Kevin Belt from Ontario Canada. So I am out.

I have very poor credit and have been looking for consolidation loans and/or any kind of help I can find for loans. This website came up and come off like they have a different approach to lending. They ask for you to share your story about why you're having difficulty and that "they" are different because they look at YOU, not your FICO. A few days later, I received an e-mail that came up with a "do not reply," almost like a ghost/spoof e-mail. The e-mail was from a Jason Foreman. I called the 1-800-507-2792 and right away "red flags" went up. The phone quality and reception was shoddy and poor quality. When I was transferred, a male voice finally answered, "Yeah? Can I help you?" I was put on hold many times, and he seemed preoccupied. I was dumb enough to give him my information, so he already had it. Here's the deal....NO ONE offers someone with a poor FICO Score the following:

$5000.00 loan at 7% interest with 36 months of $150 payments. I mean, do the math on that.....insane.

He said he could wire me $5000 in 2 or 3 hours if I was able to do one of the following (3):

-pay him $450 up front (3 monthly payments up front)

-Find a co-signer with a FICO of 750 or higher who could call him and he would do a phone application

-Buy $1200 of insurance

I said I would have to think about it and hung up. He proceeded to e-mail me "loan documents."

It's clearly a big scam and one that preys on people who are having major money problems.

Received a call from "Jason" stating that I had been approved for a loan up to $5000. I have not applied for any loans so I called the number as it seemed off. Jason advised that I could have a co-signer or pay 3 months of payments up front. This raised the red flag so I advised that if I had the 3 months of payments I wouldn't need a loan. I asked for additional information and he referred me to the above website, which does not have any additional information at all.

I have been online looking for a loan and have applied at several of these find a lender sites. Well I received an email from this Jason guy and several phone calls with voicemails left. I called back and everything seemed good. Then he said since you have no credit history we are going to need some collateral. You can get a co signer but they need to make 50 thousand or more and have a credit score of 750+. The second is 3 months advance but you won't pay for 4 months and it goes on the principal or 3rd option a 1200 warranty that protects if you get sick or default. He asked which I would choose I said well either 1 or 2. He sent me the loan documents and they look real. Something just said it was off. The rate was good and they said they deal with bad an no credit 8% was too good. So I tried to do more research and the only thing that comes up is their site. I called the local chamber of commerce and she said I just looked into that this week there is no such place she could find. I then found out that another loan place used to be close in address to this one and they were a scam. Wondering if its the same group.
