I applied for a loan online. A representative called me back from a company saying that they are based out of Manhattan in New York City. I was approved based on pre-paying 3 months in Advance and the loan will be sent out immediately. I went to Western Union and sent the loan money to an individual in Markhum Ontario Canada in the amount of $615 plus $42 Western Union fee. The next day I had not received the loan and I called the representative back and she put me on hold for a few minutes. When she came back she stated that I needed to pay the upfront taxes on the loan and that I would be reimbursed in 3-5 business days. I stupidly agreed and the next thing that you know I am sending another $800 pus a $46.oo money gram fee. Western Union did not let me send the funds to the same individual warning me against the potential of a loan scam. Being stupid and desperate I called the company back and they gave me a different person to send the money too in Georgia in the US. They stated that the funds would be released within 4-6 hours. I waited 2 days and called the company back. Again I called them back. This time they stated that they needed a $1,400 insurance fee to be paid up. I did not pay this. I have tried to contact the representative back there is another lady working now.
