Caller stated they were with the Benevolent Officer Fund raising money for charity for fallen officers. They asked if they could send me a packet to donate and how much I would like to donate in order to send such packet. I stated I would be willing to donate 25$ and to send me the packet, the male caller asked me to hold on while he transfers me. A woman then asked me how much my donation was and I told her 25$ she then asked for my credit card # or my bank info at which I replied I do not give out that information and I hung up. A little while later I dialed the number and it said “ your call cannot be completed, called it again and it dropped the call. Called the local sheriffs office to report and was referred to the bbb.org scam tracker.
