Bellows bid a job with worst case scenario bringing the cost quite high. I negotiated a new bid for a reduction for my time in prepping the area of work. The bid still spelled out worse case scenario charges without an on site evaluation. When the technicians performed the job they spent a third of the time needed to fix the issue, and never needed to do the worse case scenario tasks, which were the most expensive aspects of the job. I emailed them to have a re evalution for the job so I could have payment ready when the job was complete, as the techs were able to better assess on the morning of service. The techs confirmed and indicated to both myself and spouse and the Bellows management theat the job was smaller than expected and was not going to take as long. When the job was complete, Bellows called to get permission to charge the balance on my card that they held on file for the down payment only. I asked them if they received my email and what was the new charge for the work. They said there would be no new charge, and hung up on me when I asked for justification for charges. I immediately called my credit card company, and Bellows had already charged the balance without my permission. They never negotiated, never allowed me to talk with the person in charge, and instead hung up on me. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and am reporting them for unethical and illegal practices.
