On or about June 12, 2019, I received a solicitation on line from a company called “Because.” It was for urinary incontinence underwear that they claimed to be the best in the world. The solicitation was for a “free trial” with a service charge of $2.89. I placed an order for the samples and gave my address and credit card number. I received an email that the samples had been sent. According to FedEx tracking, the package was delivered by the U.S. Postal Service on June 22. The samples received were far too large, and I did not like the quality. On June 28, I received an email from Because stating, “…We have received your order…” and that my credit card had been charged $127.99. I immediately called Because and protested. I was told that the product had already been sent, and that they do not accept returns. In fact, I had not placed a further order. I protested the charge with my credit card company. Because claims that they ship the order unless the customer calls to stop the shipment within three days of receiving the samples. There was nothing in the literature received with the samples that stated that policy.

Today, July 5, 2019, I received an email from Because, dated July 3, stating that my order had been shipped, and would arrive in 2 to 6 business days. According to FedEx, the shipment will arrive on July 10. Apparently, Because shipped the merchandise several days after I had called them and demanded that they stop the shipment and refund my money.
