We lost our Abby after 18 years so I was on Facebook just looking at puppies and beagle’s which she was. The main site I watched is called Beagles for Adoption and Rehoming Philippe Samuel as admin. On Monday he posted a puppy called Abby that needed a new home because it’s owners are moving and needs new home. We started corresponding thru messenger on information on her. What we came up with was $400 for her and $150 for freight. I made the mistake of Zelle the money to him and he said she would be delivered on Wednesday. Then he said he would send us flight information on Wednesday morning, I responded that driving to Las Vegas airport is 1.5 hours away and I needed the information before that. He didn’t respond and when I kept texting him he told me to settle down and the info will come soon. Well then the info came in on Tuesday for when she was being delivered and that she get’s delivered to our home, which was never mentioned before. Then once he supposedly delivered her to the freight courier he sent me flight info, almost immediately the carrier contacted us saying that the crate that the puppy was delivered in was not up to airline status because of Covid restrictions but they could get the correct one if I sent them $1000 and that it will by 95% refunded after the puppy is delivered and the crate inspected. I then googled scams for puppy shipping and this exact situation was on your website. I responded to the freight company and Philippe Samuel that there is no way I’m going to send anymore money. Philippe said he would look into it and fix it so she would be here today. Well I texted him today with status and got no response. Thus it seems as if we’ve been scammed. I thought I had done good research by googling him and his site for any bad reviews and found non, so I felt pretty comfortable sending money. However the light did not go off when they wanted money sent on site that don’t acknowledge fraud. I don’t know if there is anything we can do but if not I want everyone to know and maybe it can help the next person.
