They phone to say hydro technician is on their way to correct smart meter and power will be off. Then give a number to call when you say you can't have power off. They then say you will be disconnected in 45 minutes, due to non payment found on account due to new format billing. If payment is made by a cash deposit to a kiosk then hydro will be left on. Gave two addresses locally saying that you cannot pay at the hydro office or the bank as its will take 12 to 24 hrs. to go through account which will mean it will take 3 days to get power back. Checked the address they gave, turns out to be bitcoin atm machines. These people also send an email after phoning which is 3 page disconnect notice with a link to bc hydro , that really goes to it. Very aggressive and pushy after initial contact but trying to persuade and say if everything is found to be alright there will be a credit and a discount for early payment.
