Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I received email that contained a job offer as a accounting asistant. My job was to receive checks to get around taxes and fees. I received the through the mail and was told to cash it, take 5% for payment and another 5%to ship it. When it arrived, I took it to ace cash to attempt to cash it. The clerk checked the check and the business number did not work. The clerk some how found the real business and spike with someone in HR. HR reported that this was not the first time. Recently, another check had been cashedwithout payroll permission.
