Damaged Blade, no response

I recently purchased a 24 inch Viking sword after reading glowing reviews about Battling Blade's quallity. The sword I received had a very coarse grind on the edges, was not sharp and actually had chips on the edge. It also had a damaged leather sheath where some sort of fastening material had been tightly wrapped around it and scratched up and collapsed the leather. It was a gift for my son who opted to keep it otherwise it would have gone right back. I wrote to customer service but did not get a reply.

My blade has a huge defect and I thought it Would be ok because originally they said that they would replace it but it’s been over a month and it hasn’t arrived and they won’t return my emails. Definitely a huge waste of money.

Great swords and knives. Huge collector here and you simply cannot get better for the price. Are they all perfect? No. Some are not hardened correctly and some have warps, but they replaced all these error items quickly and without contest.

I must confess, I bought a gladius from them in 2017 and was very disappointed. It took forever to arrive and their service sucked and I had to fight to get it returned, not even replaced. Skip forward two years, my brother buys a katana and it arrives in three days in perfect condition. We cut down a tree and it didn't get a mark. I decided to give them another go and am very glad I did. Now they are the only company I buy from.

No SKU numbers on the website, so when you fill out the form they request, the customer cannot provide the information they request. The only SKU number they gave me was for the product I DID NOT receive. That is where the scam lies: If they ship 10,000 units incorrectly, providing the customer with the least expensive item and keeping the excess dollar amount by not providing a way to exchange or refund for the product they, the customer ordered and did not receive, then Battling Blades gets free money. In my case it was only a ten dollar difference, but multiply that by ten thousand units and that's 10,000 dollars. Then, when the customer writes a negative review, they send it to a third party website so that they can cherry pick only the good reviews to post.

Battling Blades sent me an entirely different hunting knife than the one I ordered. The one I ordered cost more money than the one I received and they refuse to exchange it. I won't do business with Battling Blades ever again! Watch out because they don't display the SKU numbers for the products they sell.

Run from this place and the reviews that are posted. They have horrible customer service and claim that all knives and swords are custom made unless otherwise stated. I was sent a sword made in China and it even says so on the blade. I’m trying to get my refund now but they have no phone number and barely return messages. BEWARE!!!!!
