Type of a scam Online Purchase
I sent a message asking for more information and photos. The person text me back within mins. Gave me all the info I needed and even sent videos and photos of the dog I wanted. This person said the total would be 450.00 for the dog and 250.00 to ship her. I asked if I could pay only the cost of the dog and the rest until I had her, they easily agreed. Well long story short I Zelled them 500.00 to ship me the puppy. They started responding less and less often, then they finally reached out to me and told me they shipped her out and the "reliabe" pet shipping company would reach out to me soon with the pick up information. The shipping company then asked me for a total of 1950.00 to secure the pet and rent a image controlled cage, which they claimed was refundable once I received the puppy. Well this sounded shady to me so of course I refused. I reached back the seller and told her all about the situation, to which I never got a response. In further investigating I found out the freight company she was "using has several complaints about this same thing. I further investigated and found www.bassethoundhomeusa.com to be a fraud company taking advantage of people in the way they took advantage of me. Oh, by the way the seller responded with a "shut up" who is scamming people? So sad they are using innocent puppies to trap people . So sad, lesson learned in deed.
