Bankruptcy Discharge Settlement Reports & Reviews (1)

- Concord, NC, USA

The tactic the scammer used was indicating that it is a Bankruptcy Discharge Settlement entity. It indicated that I was receiving $4.01 in a virtual prepaid card, as part of a settlement benefit payable to me as a Convenience Award. In the class action lawsuit known as Hernandez, et. al. v. Experian Information Solutions, et al, No.95-CV-1070 DOC (MLGx) (United States District Court for the Central District of California). By following the instructions below, you will be able to redeem your Virtual Prepaid Card in the amount of $4.01.

I went on the website and put in my name, address and phone number. It gave me no information where I could cancel the virtual card at will. I tried calling the phone numbers for customer service and could not get an actual person. The recording gave me the option of adding money on the card. The postal card also indicated that an inactivity fee may apply if I don't use the card. The postal card also gave me a redemption code: JXQCHP9SOR2Z

I would like to cancel this card, but there is nothing on the website indicating a way to cancel. Please help me in getting a resolution to this before someone starts charging on this card.
