Troy Bank and Trust was notified by our case manager at the FDIC that a potential malicious website bearing the bank's name had been identified. The website url is www.westernloansltd.com/smevault/. Under Company Profile, it states SME Vault is a financial tech service provider under Troy Bank & Trust Company, Insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation FDIC (5598), and a Member, Equal House Lender. This site is in no way affiliated with Troy Bank and Trust. We reported a similar situation in February 2023 about another malicious website. The website url previously reported was www.smemicrofinance.com and contained the bank's contact information on the bottom footer. Both of these urls appear to be connected.
