The scammer called my parent and said that an account was being opened up in my name at a bank that I’m not affiliated with. They said someone tried to perform two transactions for $2,000 and that I needed to contact Zelle to put a freeze on my account. They sent me a number (800)-376-5412 to call Zelle. I called this number and a man was instructing me to add a contact of upper management so that I would send a code through Zelle to them. This is the number (609)-503-6289 that I was told to create a profile for to send the “confirmation cancellation” to. I hung up the phone and called my bank and was told that this scam is going around and they are aware of it.
