- Brooklyn, NY, USA • Mar 18, 2024

I received a letter from "Home Warranty Division" indicating that my "property's home warranty may be expiring or may have already expired." The letter identified the bank that holds my mortgage, but I have no idea what a "home warranty" is. The letter said this was a "final notice" and indicated that a failure to call the 1800 number listed could result in a "potential lapse of coverage" that would make me "liable for all costs associated with any home repairs." It listed an expiration date of 03/26/2024 and gave me a customer ID number. There was no company name, nor were any email address or website listed. The letter was signed by James Miller, "Program Director."
