Hey everyone recieved a text message saying hey from this number. I thought I recognized it but realized I didn't know the number after asking who is this. Had a few weird messages come through after. Beware of potential scam.

I was Contacted by this phone number saying they were from the cartel and they were going to decapitate my family if I didn’t higher than $3000. Very frightening and horrific photos of decapitated people

This person has called 6 times within 2 days, very ignoring. Leaves no messages if you say something besides hello. They hang up.

A consumer reported to BBB that he received a call from someone stating they are demanding a payment for student loans provided by ***. They advised that if he didn't send a payment, they would contact the police and send him to court. The consumer contacted ***, the handler of his student loans, and they advised that whoever had called him is not associated with them.
