I was emailed saying “Thank you for resubscribing to Norton Support. You’re online purchase has been made.” A picture was attached showing how much “I” spent which reached a total of $399. There was also a number at the bottom saying call this if there are any questions or concerns. I have NEVER heard of such a company nor knew what it stood for, so how could I spend that much money towards it?

I ended up calling the number to say that I didn’t subscribe to this and I want a refund. A foreign voice answered the phone and every time I spoke he said that he couldn’t hear me even though I was in excellent service range (and what kind of legit company doesn’t make sure they have a good means of communication for their clients?).

My gut told me to hang up as soon as possible and block everything having to do with this experience. I fear it was connected to location tracing due to the what seemed like intentional pausing to lure victims into sex trafficking. If that’s the case, I hope this is stopped before too many fall for it.
