I wanted to check the balance of a Visa gift card that I had received and when I typed the website that is on the back of the card, the website above came up and I clicked on it without noticing it was a website from the UK. I typed the gift card number in, with the 3 digit code to check the balance and it said the card was not registering. So I tried again, thinking maybe I typed it in wrong. When it didn't work a second time, I called the number on the back of the card and as I was talking to the lady at Visa gift cards, she told me there was only 4 cents left on the card. I thought that was odd, because I thought it had $50. I asked when and where it was used and she said it was just used at a flower shop in the UK, as I was on the phone talking to her. When they checked the card the sale was still pending, but for whatever reason, they couldn't stop the sale, but canceled the card.
