A man claiming I owed back taxes called saying his name was Shane Richardson and if I didn’t call to have his company help settle my overdue back taxes my wages would be garnished. I already filed my taxes and do not owe. It’s clearly a scam to intimidate people to giving their PII and money.

Received scam voice mail stating, "Call about your back tax debt that must be settled before the end of the month. We have received a notice that your debt must be settled before the end of the month and if you call today we can possibly help you avoid any wage garnishment. My phone number is 201-267-1193. I do have some good news for you about some recent programs that have taken affect that could possibly help you reduce or completely eliminate your overdue back tax debt before you receive a wage garnishment. Once again my name is Shane Richardson from Back Tax Filing LLC and my phone number is 201-267-1193. If you would like to opt out of future calls please call back the number on your caller ID and ask for a manager and you will immediately be put on our do not call list. Thank you very much."

I received a call while at work, they called telling me I had debt that had to be settled by the end of the month, which I had no idea about, so I called them back for more info once I got home, and I was redirected to a robot voicemail, and I just didn’t believe them at all and decided not to do anything with it.
