I received an email on Tuesday October 03 regarding my Geek Squad Renewal for Total Protection Tech Support, this support is for 5 years. I also checked my statements and I renewed my Tech Support for $179.99 for 1 year on July 17, 2023. When I contacted them by phone it was to cancel the product. When the agent tried to give me a refund of 499.99 he made a mistake and put the refund in as 4999.99, he told me I would need to pay this money back but when I looked in my account the $5000 was not there and it is still not there. He told me I would need to get gift cards plus he also locked me out of my phone with a bogus passcode. In other words the agent w[censored]ding my phone for ransom. I haven't been able to get into my phone for 3 days. The agent told me as soon as I get the gift cards he will give me the passcode but I will have my phone unlocked tonight by the Apple store. I also haven't heard from the agent since it happened.
