I tried purchasing translation headphones through and ad on facebook. They had the option to use paypal as a payment. I have used paypal numerous times and made the assumption they verified these companies.I have since found out they do not. It took almost 2 months to receive a package but it was a pair of cheap wireless headphones not the translation headphones with a shipping address in New York. I first tried to resolve it with the company through the contact information paypal provided. Which is the email included. There wasn't a phone number for me to contact them. They replied back trying to offer me $1 in US. At this point i realized they werent legitimate and tried filing an issue with paypal. I said to paypal and the company i would send the air pods back as long as a shipping label was provided since this was no fault of my own. Paypal contacted the company and they gave an address for somewhere in China and said they would only issue a full refund when they received them and I wiukd need to provide a teacking number. They also sent me an email saying the same but that sending them back may cost more than the refund and they would be willing to give me $3 US and that was all they could offer. I had replied back to them each time they emailed me prior to this. There was another email from them saying their office was on vacation and tbat all my emails in the same thread of emails would confuse their customer service. I have since stopped replying and just closed my paypal account as well.
