Type of a scam Home Improvement
This "company" had a booth at the Almond Blossom Festival in Quartz Hill, CA and I had an off feeling about them right off the bat. They were very unprofessional and the OWNER was asking for people to put their number directly into his cellphone. The owner was also bashing a LICENCED company that was directly next to them and steering away business for the other company whom I looked up and actually has positive reviews and an established company. Shortly thereafter, I looked up AV Modern Lawn Care and found reviews stating that clients were scammed and couldn't get their money back and none of the work was ever done for them. Also let me mention, they were at the festival promoting their business AFTER the person posted that review stating they were told the "company" went out of business and they can't get a refund, MAJOR scam if you ask me.
They offer products that they are not licenced to do. Their website only states that they only do yard maintenance, but at both the event and the video they posted online, they state that they can do turf, xeriscape, solar, aluminum patio covers, etc., ALL of which needs to be through a licenced contractor if over a certain dollar amount. They say they've been in business since 2016, but ALL reviews have been from 2018 (and we are only 3 months into the year).
Lastly (and I just find this a bit humorous): at the bottom of their website, they show what appears to be a social media feed from both Twitter and Instagram, but the "company" does not have an account on EITHER social media platform. They state their company name on those platforms is "@avmodernlawncare" but those do not exist, which means that their "review" from Twitter that says someone mentioned them stating A+++ is totally fake.
Shame on the business owner for taking people's money and the Quartz Hill Chamber of Commerce for allowing him to promote his fake business.
