The scam started via an online search for a classic car for sale. The seller replied after inquiry the car was available, and he was stationed overseas in the military. He provided very detailed information on how to initiate the transaction and referred me to AutoTrans LLC who would provide for the transaction, inspection, delivery of the vehicle, and payment would be held in escrow until I received the vehicle and accepted it. Escrow would be closed 7 days following delivery of the vehicle. If I was not satisfied with the vehicle within the vehicle I could notify AutotransLLC and they would pick up the vehicle and return my money. The process included very detailed purchase contract forms, invoice, Bill of Sale, and shipment bill. Every component provided detailed information detailing the safe, execution of the transaction. Additional information stated on the forms included terms; "Auto Trans LLC reduces the potential risk of fraud by acting as a trusted third party that collects, holds and disburses funds according to buyers instructions".
