This scammer sent me an email entitled: LOWE'S WINNER and the email (which is no longer in my inbox) stated that I had won a free power drill from Lowe's. I did not check the email address as I should have as it was clearly not from Lowe's. Through a scheme to get me to provide my credit card payment I realized that I was being scammed but it was too late to stop the process. I was billed once for about $7 then billed again on July 17 for $59.84. After speaking with my bank which provided me with the above phone number and the location of the company (New Jersey) I called the company -- Autogadgets -- at the number above and was told that I had paid for a monthly subscription of $59.84. I canceled this subscription and was told it would be refunded to me. I then told the operator at Autogadgets that I would report this company to the Better Business Bureau as they must be scamming many other people who are not yet aware they are being scammed, or will be targeted and scammed by this disgraceful company in future. I believe this compnay needs to be shut down - if not fined and/or prosecuted in the state of New Jersey from where I believe they operate.
