I asked these brokers to deliver a car for me that I purchased online in New York; to be delivered to Suburban Detroit, where I live. After 2 exhaustive weeks trying to find someone ( I had asked 3 other companies to bring the car, nobody said they could do it, nobody made any promises which is why in this industry, up-front costs are either fully refundable or they don’t charge anything until the car has been picked up because these brokers who try and find a driver can’t always do it in a timely manner or the price the driver is asking for is more than they charged the customer. I need my car, and after borrowing other people’s cars, it becomes a huge inconvenience. After dealing with/talking to at least 4 other companies(and giving money to them) I came to realize that these Autostar Transport people have shady business practices. To make a long story short, “Paul” took my $150 fully refundable, “only charged upon pick-up”down payment and won’t give it back. They said I don’t qualify for the refund!..,,,!§ It’s ridiculous. This is a ridiculous business that should be regulated better to protect people like me from being “taken”. No skin off my back, I ain’t payin the C.C.
