Looked on the "hoobly" website for a French bulldog. Found a website that seemed genuine. Contacted the "seller" by inquiring through their phone number given on ad/site. I text them to let them know that I was interested in a puppy I had seen on their site and wondered if the puppy was still available. They said yes, stated price and encouraged my purchase. I set up to send Western Union payment of $950.00 and forwarded to them. They cashed and stated the puppy was being sent to me and would arrive that day. They then forwarded my information to the "shipper" whom contacted us stating the puppy was at the airport and needed us to send them money for an "auto regulated" crate that was NOT provided with the puppy. This would be an additional $1490.00 charge and would have to be paid before the puppy was put on the plane to deliver to us. I then, paid them the additional money via Western Union. The shipping company sent information regarding the delivery of the puppy for the next morning. When waking the next morning there was an email from the shipping company stating the puppy was being detained at the airport by animal welfare and was requiring an additional $2100.00 for insurance required on the dog by the state. Stating it was a new Law. That's when I started researching for scams on the internet...we did not pay the insurance, we did not receive a dog and we are our $2440.00 in total.
