Someone pretending to be my son, called my mother saying that he'd been out of town for a funeral with a friend, and had been drinking. He was involved in a head on collision with a 6 month pregnant woman who is now critical. He said he hired an attorney, and asked her to contact him. He told her not to call me. My mother called the attorney to find out the bond was set at $5,000 cash, to be sent to him directly. She told him, I don't have that kind of money and hung up. Of course my son was at work the entire time - thank goodness.
