I received a message from a church friend on Instagram, asking how I was doing, then asked if I had ever heard of the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance. They they had received a grant for $50k to help them, that they invested and that it could help me. They gave me a phone number to text, which I did. I received a return message from the above person tell me to send my info back to her. No social but personal info....name...address....work status, etc.

They they sent me a pic of a person with cash sitting in their lap, which isn't something my church friend would do. So I called her to ask about it and she said it wasn't her and had never heard of the CFDA. I wanted to come online to see if there were scams like what I encountered online.
