Got a call from someone saying they're from AT&T and they're calling in regard to the $99 rebate they will apply to my account. Confirmed my phone number to me verbally, then asked for my PIN to verify "for security reasons." When I claimed not to know my PIN, they asked for the last 4 of my social (Which I did not provide, of course). I asked for a number to call back, and to please confirm name and employee badge number so I could call back once I "Verified my PIN to provide." He provided me the phone number of 813-592-6838, and he also provided me an employee ID number of JS50976. I know this is all false as AT&T doesn't randomly call you "because your number was selected this year as a VIP customer" to receive the rebate. I have not returned the call, simply reporting here and going back about my day. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS, AT&T DOESN'T CALL YOU AND ASK YOUR PIN OR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER TO PROVIDE YOU A REBATE YOU NEVER APPLIED FOR OR PURCHASED SOMETHING TO RECEIVE!!!!
