On Indeed App, I applied for a remote data entry clerk position with Atlantic Hospitality Group. A few days later, I received my first text from Rebecca (hiring officer) asking, “when I would be able to start?” and I replied, “tomorrow.” Last week consisted of the following: confirming my email address, filing out an application for the identification verification process including my driver’s license (there were a few issues with my picture being clear) and scanning my face (contacted via text from California EDD to verify it was me). I did ask a few questions about the training period that got pushed off onto the training team. Lastly, I was contacted by Jessica (company agent in charge of hiring) via text that said, “congratulations, with my name” and I was informed that I would start my online training on Friday which didn’t happen. I sent a text on both Friday and Saturday and its now been five days later without hearing anything from them. Please, be vigilant when looking for employment, so that, you don’t get scammed.
