I am contacting you to notify you of a potential scam that involves a company called "Atlantic *** ***". They have left a couple of harassing voice mails, one sometime in April 2015 and one on yesterday on May 14, 2015. The voicemail from yesterday was received from "Jason ***" with "Atlantic *** ***". He couldn't tell me the real reason for the call but he gave me an account number and told me call 888-984-*** and gave me an account number "421619". I called the number and spoke with a man named "Kenneth ***" who also is with "Atlantic *** ***". He verified the account number and informed me that there is a “claim” brought against me claiming that I took out a personal loan back in June, 6 2011 of $300.00 from a company called “Westgate Group LLC”. I had no recollection of taking out a personal loan and he says that this amount is now up to $510.00. I also never heard of the company “Westgate Group LLC”. So I repeatedly asked him if they can provide any documentation or proof stating that I owe this money and I signed an agreement to pay this amount back. However, he kept saying that they could not provide with any documentation and he says that the only proof was email correspondence from my email address ***@***. He sounded very defensive and loud on the phone when telling me this which raised a red flag that this is a scam. I have not received any collection letters and it this not listed on my most recent credit report. I also had my bank "State Service Credit" to send me copies of any transactions starting on June 1st 2011, all the way to August and they have not found any deposit of $300.00 into my account. I told Kenneth that if I found proof of deposit of this amount into my bank account, then I will send it. However, he kept rudely saying that this documentation would not matter to them and I will still owe regardless.

They have my bank account number and the last 4 digits of my social security number and an old address that I haven’t lived in over 5 years. This is the 2nd time I received phone call from them and they sound very intimidating and threatening. I would like to have this matter investigated as soon as possible because my SSN and bank account information is in their hand and I don’t know how they were able to disclose this information. I believe that they are trying to scam me out of some cash and I need them to stop the harassing calls and the threatening voice mails because I clearly do not owe since they can’t provide me any proof on their end.
