Said he was from Atlantic Broadband and needed to uninstall an app on my computer and I would receive a $200. refund because they no longer needed this or could use it. I had Atl. BB, but no longer did. So, to make a long story short- stupid me let him in on my computer, landed on my checking acct so he could "refund" me the 200. He ended up "refunding" me the 200, but it showed up in my acct as 2200 showing some company name as the account it came from. He freaked out saying, "OMG, I'm gonna lose my job, etc., that money (2000) has to be back in our acct w/in an hour or I'll lose my job. You need to go to Target and get $2000 gift cards." Stupid me did that, came home and read the numbers to him. OK, then he said they couldn't use the cards, I had to return and purchase Steam or Google Play cards with the Target gift cards. Luckily, customer service said they can no longer do 3rd party purchases with the cards. She said this is a scam, I explained what it said on my online banking acct. I then called my bank, she said the 2200 was withdrawn from MY savings to my checking. I flipped out! Police came, Target stopped the cards and I received my 2000 back. He keeps calling and now today, I got another call, today, from a "Mark" saying he is some Credit Bank and there's been a social security breach and I needed to call him back immediately. He said he was from the head office. The phone number for that is. I looked up both of these numbers and 868 and 470 don't exist. One number shows up Brooklyn, the other Bronx. These guys don't stop. I have the numbers blocked on my phone. The other guy said his name was David Peterson and said he was calling from San Jose, CA. He had a foreign accent and spoke fast!
