This company reached out to me via email regarding a work from home position that would include me receiving and inspecting packages at my home and sending them back out. I was told that my first month would be my probationary period, and that I would be "paid $20 per package". After my first month, I would then be a salary employee where I would earn $3500 each month to do the job. I figured since the pandemic, working from home for this company would be a pretty easy income, and before I accepted the job I did check their website and seen that this company has been in business since 2018, so I decided to give them a try. There was no interview process, they did send me W-4 and I-9 information for me to fill out and send back, which I did. Once I was accepted to do the job, they proceeded to send me packages which I did get paid for. After the first month, I was no longer receiving packages, but they told me it was a slow period and kept telling me to check in each day for any updates, so I did. They also explained to me that I would receive my salary payment despite the amount of packages that I received after my first month. Once my probationary period was up and I was not getting any more packages, I did not receive my salary payment. I reached out to them via email, I called the company, no one has gotten back to me. They pretty much just stopped contacting me. I also received two packages that they never sent labels for, so they've been sitting in my closet. Yesterday I received invoices for each package, and I reached out to the company that sent me the invoices and once I explained the situation to them, they were gracious enough to allow me to send their items back to them at no charge. They told me that ATI Fulfillment has been ordering items to send across the nation and I can imagine there are other "employees" of ATI Fulfillment who will also receive invoices for items that were shipped to their homes as well. I reported this company to the FBI, who suggested since I provided them with personal information that I file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, which I did. And now I want to bring awareness to anyone else to comes across this company or whomever this company reaches out to so that they do not fall victim to this scam.
