On 10/11/20 I purchased 3 Dooney & Bourke Smooth Leather Janine Tote’s (pink, oyster and brown) that was on sale on the Astelir website. After I paid for my merchandise, I received an email with order # AS23338 advising standard delivery was 11 – 18 business days. I then received USPS tracking number BTYCN0007878964YQ that continued to advise me that status was not available. I went on Astelir website and their policy did not provide a contact phone number. The policy advised the email to [email protected] regarding any questions. I sent an email on 10/31/20 and received the following below response. I responded requesting the company phone number or refund of my monies in the amount of $89.97. I sent another email on 11/13/20 requesting a contact number to speak with an representative and was provided the same below email.

On 11/26/20 I received my order. When I opened my packages, the purses sent to me were not Dooney & Bourke. The purses were an unknown brand that I have never heard of called Davi Jones. I repeatedly advised the company that I did not want to keep the merchandise and provide me with a return label to send them their merchandise back. They refused and advised that I would have to pay the shipping cost which would be high. I knew I that point that this was a scam. The company even went as far as to update their policy in the mist of trying to recoup my monies to indicate that “sale items” could not be returned. I sent them photos of the purses and they kept extending offers to me. Not once did they ever offer to send me the correct merchandise. The company advised that $35 was the limit they would refund me and that is what I received. They pointed to the supplier as the blame for not providing me with the correct merchandise.

My final response to the company is as follows: “I find it very disturbing and hard to believe that the deception was on your supplier behalf. Your company "Astelir" wants the customer to return merchandise (that they did not order) to China which is clearly not where the merchandise was shipped from and would be an extremely high shipping cost for the customer to pay. An addition, you're suggesting if I return the item you will refund my monies. Based on your updated return policy "Sale" items cannot be returned. I believe your company is dishonest and unethical and this is just a way of getting customers to purchase merchandise from your site. However, the end result is that you do not make promise on your delivery leaving the customer to bare the burden. I realize that this will be a loss for me. However, when you’re operating a wicked and deceitful company as yourself it will suffer and your loss will be much greater. I do not wish to keep the merchandise but I really have no choice because I will lose more money. I also find it very disturbing that you have no phone # to contact and speak with a representative. I am convinced that this was set up by your company "Astelir" as misleading and false advertisement of Dooney and Bourke handbags. Therefore, you may refund the amount of $35 which does not even equate to the no name brand purses sent to me and that your company is only willing to refund me”.

12/05/20 - Dear customers: Thanks for your letter. I'm very sorry for the bad shopping experience But we actually have no profit. Due to high logistics costs and product costs, our total cost is very high. After discussion, we are willing to refund $35 from this transaction as compensation. As a young developing company, this is already our limit. If you insist on returning the goods, you must send our products back to our warehouse in China and bear all the shipping costs. This cost is not small after calculation. We sincerely hope that this issue can be resolved peacefully in a way that reduces the losses of both parties. If you agree, our staff will refund $35 immediately and look forward to your reply
